STERLING SILVER

We use 925 Sterling silver for all of our silver jewellery. In addition to this, all of our sterling silver jewellery is rhodium plated. Rhodium is one of the rarest and most expensive precious metals. When sterling silver jewellery is rhodium plated it helps to prevent tarnishing, gives the jewellery a high shine finish and makes it more resistant to scratching. Sterling silver is a delicate metal and it will age and tarnish over time, but plating with rhodium gives your piece a much longer life. Our silver jewellery is also nickel free which makes it less common to irritate the sensitive skin.

GOLD PLATED

All of our gold plated jewellery is made from 925 sterling silver as the base metal. This is then gold plated (a thin layer of gold is deposited on to the surface of the silver) with 2 microns of 9CT gold. Gold plating will wear off with use so if intended for daily wear will require re-plating eventually.

SOLID 9CT GOLD

9CT gold (also known as 375 gold) is an alloy metal made with 9 parts out of 24 solid gold. It has a beautiful soft yellow colour. 9CT gold is tougher than higher carat gold making it more durable and great for daily wear.

SOLID 9CT ROSE GOLD

Rose gold is alloyed with copper which is what gives it that lutrous pink tone. Due to the way copper oxidises over time, rose gold may require more regular polishing than yellow gold.
