About Boh Runga Jewellery

Boh Runga Jewellery is made to be gifted.

Since the launch of our first collection, Birdland in 2007, Boh Runga has become a go-to for meaningful gifts, bought by women as a treat for themselves, for their mothers or daughters, friends and partners; and by men as something special for their loved ones.

When Lisa Carrington won gold at the 2021 Olympics she was wearing our Te Teina ō Huia earrings, which her fiancé had given her as a departing gift in the build-up to Tokyo.

During her first Royal Tour of New Zealand, Meghan Markle was gifted a pair of studs by Jacinda Ardern featuring our iconic Feather Kiss crossed Miromiro feathers, one of the first and most loved of all of our designs.

From birthdays to anniversaries, graduations to leaving gifts, and everything in between, each of our designs is made to honour life's milestones and achievements and celebrate those you appreciate and love most.

For Boh, every collection starts with a story and every design has a message she hopes will resonate with its recipient. Wearable reminders of people and places you can take with you wherever you go.

About Boh

Boh Runga is a dynamic creative force. Armed with a guitar, a sketchbook and a head full of ideas, Boh's creations flow from the stage to the streets.

Her name is now synonymous with creative design, but anyone who owned a radio in the early 2000s also knows Boh Runga for her musical talents. As the front woman for Stellar* Boh became a multi-platinum artist with the release of their debut album, Mix.

After the release of a solo album, she was back to writing new music, this time in an all girl group with Anika Moa & Hollie Smith. While jewellery is her main gig now, Boh most recently returned to the recording studio to celebrate 15 Years of Boh Runga Jewellery with her rendition of Aretha Franklin’s, ‘Rock Steady’ co-produced with P Money.

These days designing jewellery and coming up with ideas for creative collaborations, or “Bohlaborations” as she likes to call them, is a favourite pastime. She’s also quite fond of a name pun.

Previous Bohlabs include a make-up product launched by Shiseido under her name, a Monarch butterfly inspired rug for Designer Rugs ‘Kiwi Icon’ collection, and designing the 2019 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards Tui Award.
