"Robins have always been special in my family back home in Ireland. When my brother passed, my Mum found solace in robins showing up in the garden or by the graveyard. I was even gifted a pendant of 'when robins appear, loved ones are near' by my family when I left to return to New Zealand, which I still have seven years later. Since then, I have married a wonderful Kiwi-Indian, and we are expecting our first child in March, which we will name Robin in memory of my brother and her father. I gifted my wife the Robin pendant for Christmas, as robins are special in our lives here, too."
