Holiday Sessions with the Boh Runga team
As the year comes to a close we're taking time to slow down with friends and family. Here’s what our team will be listening to and reading over the break.
Boh
Book: This coming holiday break I’ll trying to tame my garden/ plot of land which is both fun and daunting. I’ve started reading Trowel and Error; Over 700 Organic Remedies, Shortcuts and Tips for the Gardener by Sharon Lovejoy.
Songs: I’ll probably have my headphones on while pottering about dead heading roses so on high rotate (besides my usual rock favourites) will be a couple of new bangers I’ve taken a shine to; CHAII Oh Nah Yay as it makes me want to strut and duck, DON BROCO One True Prince (the incredible singing and key change you just don’t hear in music anymore) and RACING Run Wild cos these guys do a killer live show and this song is monstrous live.
Toyah
Book: Looking forward to finishing Phosphoresce by Julia Baird and Buddhism for Mothers by Sarah Naphtali which i’ve had on the go for a few months (reading is a luxury these days) and my annual holiday book I get gifted at Christmas and make sure I finish before I get back to work.
Songs: My Spotify wrap for 2023 had The Wiggles in the top 5 song spots, so I imagine my Summer playlist will sound pretty similar…
My go to Podcast is Radiolab. It’s a mixed bag of topics that are equally as fascinating as each other. I suggest diving into the archives.
Georgia
